More punk/no wave/sound poetry like music from Germany, and one that was easy to split into various tracks, vis a vis the tracks on the cover.

Basic Principles (tape, 1985)

This is one one those tapes that could also be a demo, or a highly private release. Its one Waldimir Duijndam on synthesizer, tapes, loops and piano. Its not entirely ambient music, but also a bit experimental at times.

Frankfurt/Praha (tape, RDM, 1988)

This looks a like compilation of some kind, but I could detect or identify individual tracks here. Maybe one side has two bands from Frankfurt (Technische Abteilung and Radio Diffsuor Maracaibo) and on the other side bands from Prague: Maxa, Kvety Intimnich Nalad, Mondrian, Tristan 43, Odvazna Srdce. I might be wrong also. Quite experimental electronics.

Ermanu Risottocultura - Bisschen Schwul Aber Cool (tape, Siff Setten 4, 198?)

A man and his guitar, sometimes with the help of a solo guitar player, singing songs. That's it. A but gay but cool is the translation of the title.

The Clean - Left By Soft (tape, Cliche Bootlegs & Tapes, 198?)

I am not sure if this the same The Clean as the Australian band. Maybe there is something missing from this package, well definetly the tracktitles. Garage rock!

Ax Genrich - RIF (tape, Transmitter 18, 198?)

Well, maybe the band is called RIF - now I look at the cover again. Oh well, that's about the extend of some of these obscure tapes I guess. They played punky new wave music and are from Germany.

CoAccident (tape, Widemouth Tapes, 19??)

Widemouth Tapes was founded by Chris Mason, it says on the cover. Not easy to read that cover, but the tape contains some interesting improvised music by a collective of musicians.

Even more obscure this one, with band name and title written on the tape itself. Experimenmental again, with cheap rhythm machine, some wind instrument, synths, guitar bits. Quite the sort of work for a cassette.

Six Singles

We interrupt the flow from Eu Records with this anonymous donation from someone who I know and trust to deliver the real thing. Six 7" records. First there is the 7" noise compilation 'Easter, Puberty & Amplifiers, with Dog, Hyware, To Live And Shave In LA, The Flying Luttenbachers, ASM, Duotron, K Salvatore, Malta, Noggin, Rock Paper Scissors and Cock ESP. Each have a 1 minute track. Released by Ignivomous Records.
Also a compilation is 'Is It Safe 2' by Body Records (001), with Vomito Negro, Bill Pritchard, Absolute Body Control, Nicky Ricci's, The Klinik, The Splatters, Vita Noctis.
Then there is a limited 7" by Hyware on the Dutch Lab records label (003, 1995), with quite some noise, partly recorded live and a split 7" by Hyware and noise Armenia. Later Hyware evolved into Technoise, of which there is a 7" included here too. Radboud Mens' rework of Kapotte Muziek was released by Korm Plastics in 1997.

Norway's Uniton label mainly released vinyl, and Discogs doesn't list this cassettem but it lists a compilation on the same label with a track from this cassette (plus another compilation with them). The music is quite nice. Synth based ambient music, with small bits of rhythm.

Romantic Distortion (tape, Shot 002, 1983)

"An international group of musicians met in Berlin dec. 82. All sessions on this tape are played and recorded 1120 feet under the surface of the earth". Involved are Maria Weissgold (Praha), Murphy Tatcher (Johannesburg), Valentino Cawalho (Barcelona), Blake Colby (Houston), Steen Foss Andersen (Copenhagen) and Emad El Din Naguib (Cairo). Very improvised music, which sounds quite Dutch if you get my drift (think Suspect or Schalflose Nachte).

Kong (tape, 19??)

Most of the music posted on this blog was available in one form or another, and I rather not post demo's, but here I make an exception. I have no idea why I am doing this exception. Maybe because Kong always looked great on their four stages, with each member having one. Later on they became well-known. Heavy rock with samplemania.
