Tot Geil (tape, Gegentakt 01, 198?)

A lot of posts today, since I will be on a mountain trip as of tomorrow until sunday the 1st and I want you to download on a day and look surprised, as always. Comments are moderated and will only appear if I ok them. So also not in the next week.

Dither (tape, 199?)

More a demo of sorts, I think, managed by Denis Boyer, I think the same guy who also publishes the magazine Fear Drop. Dither sort of plays experimental electronic music.

Dreieck - Eins (tape, 1981?)

A trio from Germany, but I remember this being for sale at the Tox Modell label. Now I hear this, I can see why: there is indeed a link to Tox Modell's music. It was hard to read the titles, so I left it unindexed.

Au Pairs - Live (tape, Fight Back Produktion, 1981)

Ok, so I rather not post things like this, but there were two tapes by The Au Pairs in the box delivered by Eu Records, so why not. A quartet with Lesley Woods, Jane Munro, Pete Hammond and Paul Foad and still actually post punk music.

Originally a quartet (David Penhale left the group in 1978), they now perform as a trio which includes Micheal Dean, Steven Smith and Richard Truhlar. Dan Lander - Talking To A Loudspeaker (tape, 1989)

A piece of sound poetry and electronics. Dan Lander studied art at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax (Nova Scotia) with a focus on performance, video and sound. After leaving school he set up a modest recording studio in his apartment and developed a method of composition which sprang from his interest in phonography and the referential in recorded sound. This interest also led to his involvement as an editor of two anthologies: Sound by Artists (1990) and Radio Rethink: Art, Sound and Transmission (194). He was the producer of the radio art program The Problem with Language (CKLN, Toronto) from 1987 to 1991. His works for radio and loudspeaker are dependent on sound recordings gathered from real life situations, organized with an ear to the ways in which meaning circulates through the invisible conduit of sounding and hearing. His works have been widely aired in North America and Europe.

Cinema Verite (tape, Komakino 002, 1980)

A German duo, Andreas Hoffmann and Klaus Hoeppner, best known for their 'Der Weisse Rausch' release on ADN. Discogs lists a second tape, but not this one. They play minimal electronic music, a bit experimental, some voices, but very nice altogether.
