02/ 08/ 2008 Entries Part I

There is just so many Hip Hop blogs... Here is a couple of them:

• hip-hops finest - The blog's name is a big statement. Does it live up to its name? Well, that is up to you to decide. HH Finest has mainstream US HH and some good classics.
• The Defiction - Is a HH blog on hiatus.
• Kuestion de Negros - is the kind of blog that I would go to for experiencing the lesser known site of HH. Jazz mixes, disco beats and prog. Hip Hop make this blog better than a lot of others.
• Laji Ke music - is a blinky looking blog, with a lot of noise. A lot of French and US gangster rap. Expect a lot of Eminem, Dr. Dre and bits of Afrika Bambaataa and Aesop Rock and you will be fine.
• Culturlistik - Another, somewhat mainstream HH blog with some good records here (Airborn Audio), there (Pacific Division Sealed For Freshness) and here (GZA - Liquid Swords).

Indieducky

Indieducky is a very nice looking (new) music blog. Musicwise, everthing also seems in place. I saw some Hiphop (Gnarls Barkley), Jazz (John Cage) and even some postpunk (Jay Reatard). Yes, Indie Ducky is worth my TIP label. Enjoy!

Raver's Choice & Strictly Oldskool

Been some time since I linked to a rave blog. This one (Raver's Choice) is well worth checking out. Raver's Choice has the best of mixes in Old Skool Hardcore, DNB, Techno, House and Garage.

Msprim's other blog is also worth further exploration. Strictly Oldskool is for all your hardcore and Drum N Bass tunes and a bit of Techno, House and Garage for good measure.

Lysergic Bliss

If you are a friend of Zappa, you are a friend of mine. No doubt Lysergic Bliss has a funny looking music blog, his tatse for music is just as interesting. The description he gave me includes: Indie, Hip Hop, Classics, Goth.

The Casual Seagull

What to find on the The Casual Seagull? Expect some Pixies, Therapy?, Rancid, but also Kid Frost and CNN. In other words, Indie punk and a little tad of hip hop. It's a pity that most of it are not full albums though :(. Sean will this change (please, please)? Cheerz!

Welcome back La Musique!

It was some time ago that I informed you about the sudden death of La Musique. With great joy today however, I can say that La Musique is back! Visit them here for great Trip Hop tracks! Welcome back!

Sammy's Blog

After some very random browsing, it was a pleasant surprise to come across Sammy's Blog. It somehow looks all so sweet and nice. However, don't be deceived there is some good music on here. At least enough to keep you busy for a while with contemporary, psychedelic poppy, music and some good alternative pop mixes.
